Where have you been? Chiz=mopped for weeks now!

 

Radio down here 'has it' that Chizik is definitely out. I know auburn is terrible this year, but it's hard to believe a guy who brought a national title in just his second year would be out two years later. He brought the first title in a million years down there, and there isn't an auburn fan I know who wants to keep him.

Oh well... He'll have plenty of time to count the $7.5m they give him in his buy-out.

 

Cam brought the title. Chiz was lucky to be there for it. That whole season was essentially a one man show with that one man compensating for a SHITLOAD of coaching errors and miscues.

 

All the makings of a trap game this weekend in the Deep South's Oldest Rivalry.

Chance to end SEC east dreams, chance to end (EXTREMELY) long shot NC dreams, lame duck coach, terrible team. Mix that in with we typically play down to the opponent, and it's a possibility.

Haven't heard a 100% firing as of yet is what I'm getting at.

 

This is what i've heard so far.




Auburn president Jay Gogue has informed some members of the Board of Trustees that he is preparing to possibly dismiss coach Gene Chizik.

Gogue also told select board members that he plans to retain athletics director Jay Jacobs and reassign executive associate athletics director Tim Jackson, who oversees football.

 

J.Jacobs needs to be packing as well I believe.

 

My favorite part of this auburn season is the people who got SO PISSED in 2010 when somebody said they were a 'one man team' are realizing (and admitting) that it was exactly that.

 

This is mostly true, but it was really a two man team with Fairly on the other side if the ball. But there was a very solid O-line in place as well, but those guys are never remembered for the most part.

As much as I hate to say it, Ohio State actually has a coach.

 

Surprised to hear you say that... I lost a lot of respect for him when the Gators were up big on the Dogs and he called a time out to rub it in. Players running their mouths is one thing but a coach should be above that even if he felt Richt tried to show him up the year before.

 

Hopefully Michigan can get by Northwestern today ( thought that I would never say that). Pat Fitzgerald is a good coach and has a pretty good offense. Pulling for Penn State to beat Nebraska so Michigan can get back into the race for the B1G Championship game.

Excited to see how A&M performs against a great Alabama defense. Enjoy your saturday boys, cant believe how quickly the season is flying by!

 

well....in terms of coaching ya, but if he didn't have braxton and a pretty soft schedule he might only be at .500 It's funny when I lived in ohio buckeye fans pretty much trashed meyer never had nothing good to say about him, he recruited dirty, let thugs play etc....now.....woa he is part of the trinity. Father, son and holy urban

 

I hate ohio state....imagine that, but Miller is a great player.

 

I had begun to wonder how good a coach/recruiter Meyer was because after Mullin left for Miss St it looked like the Gators were on the decline.

 

Fixed. Honestly, I think we'd be better off if Mullen called the plays more often for offense. He has such a great offensive mind, yet he leaves it up to Les Koenning, who can't call decent plays to save his life or a game.
