Hey guys, been on the site for a while getting ideas for my Tacoma that I purchased in June 2011. Decided to make a build thread to track the progress of the truck. Bought it bone stock from a woman who had never even used the 4 wheel drive, I changed that pretty quick:D. Plans are to make it expedition ready for me and the wife

    Mods Completed
    All Pro Front Bumper
    Warn VR8000 Winch
    Rigid D2 Dually's
    King Coilovers

Next on the list (somewhat in order)
    Wheelers type a 15" Wheels
    31x10.50 BFG All Terrains
    Bed Rack
    Roof top tent
    Sliders
    Rear Bumper
    Rear Lift
    Safari Snorkel

    As it sits today

First thing I added to the truck was the All Pro front bumper with the Baja Taco fill plates and headlight hoops. Install was pretty straight forward. Just unbolt the old bumper and bolt the new one on. It was a tight fit so I had to use the sledge. I love this bumper and I get a lot of comments on it.

Next I added the winch, it's and Warn VR8000. Fit perfectly on the bumper, I decided to mount the solenoid box on top of one of the fill plates on the bumper, so I had to do a little trimming of the grill.

Added my Dually's after that, I love these litte lights, super bright for such a small package. I'll try to add some night shots soon.

All the weight up front started taking it's toll on the stock suspension, so it was time to upgrade. I went with King Coilovers from Down South Motorsports. Great customer service, I told them I had a lot of extra weight up front so they recommended that I go with their Tundra coils. Easy install, bolt out, bolt in. Really happy with these shocks, and I highly recommend working with Down South Motorsports, too.

Ran out of storage space in the cab so I bought some Rotopax storage boxes with the Tacoma World discount. They're small but had plenty of room for the tools and straps I threw in them.

thanks man, those 285's are looking real good on your truck. I'm saving for new wheels and tires right now. 31 x 10.50 bfg at's in january or february. and then step up to 33 km2's once I get my rear lifted.
