    Hey guys,

First of all, I'm quite new to TW and since viewing I have learned a lot about my first Tacoma. I would like to thank you all for that.

I need your assistance in getting a Canadian perspective of the WeatherTech DigitalFit floor mats. The reason why I want a Canadian perspective is for two reasons:

    1) Because of our nasty, yet fun, snowy weather

    2) Because we share typically higher prices when buying most things compared to our American friends. ($130 for first row Digifits in my truck as a Canadian, $99 if I was an Amercian)

How good are these floor mats? Are they really worth that kinda money?

not a Canadian. but i have spilled all kinds of stuff on mine. front and back rows. i have had little more than1/2 a bottle of water on the back they held it all just fine. have also had quite a bit of mud on the front mats and they are nice.

one thing really nice is they don’t move around like most other mats, i think it’s mostly do to them being fitted for each truck/suv.

They are pretty good. I think they are worth their value when you have a kid throw up on them and still come out clean and shiny.

Love my weathertechs. I'm fairly new around here myself so I haven't wintered with them yet, but I did have the joy of watching my cup of tim hortons pouring out onto my floor while rounding a corner at speed. The weathertechs saved my carpet from coffee. Smelled by the end of the day but hosed them off when I got home and all was good.

I also bought the back mat because experience has taught me that passengers don't give two shits about your things unless you ride them constantly.

Considering that I've spent $180 on OEM carpeted mats in the last 12 months because my heel wears through them in 4 weeks.... yes.

I really like mine. Especially the fronts. They can contain a pretty large volume of water from melted snow. This is obviously helpful if you are playin in the snow and gettin in and out of the truck a lot.

The rear is one long mat, which I am not too thrilled about. While is protects the floor nicely. It is a pain in the ass to contain the water when attempting to pull it out of the truck.

Throw a towel on the water and let it soak it up. Then pull your rear mats out.

Snow and slush you say? These mats work great. One thing I would suggest though, is that you pull out the retaining clips completely, and silicone the retaining clip holes in the mats. That's where dirt and grime get through to the carpet from your boots, and you don't need the clips if you don't stack 5 mats on top of each other like an idiot.

The other part on mine that dirt gets around is at the false pedal where you rest your foot. The mat doesn't come up quite high enough for my liking. But other than that, I would 100% recommend and buy these again.

Rich, you are supposed to take off the spike heels when you drive, silly girl. :p

Hmmmm...see THAT's what I always had in the back of my mind. What use are the sides being so high if there are holes to clip the mats??

Answer is right there. Thank you!

Absolutely amazing! Fill them full of dirt, mud or whatever and just hose them out. They fit perfectly and have held up great

    :p

It was my Redwing work boots.
Bought a new set of mats just before getting a promotion, thought that maybe my Florsheim wingtips would be easier on them.

    No.

I love the OEM mats, but they need that plastic panel below the pedals on the driver's side.

If you plan on staying with the OEM carpet, just get a piece of rubber cut and trimmed to look good and fit the area you need and get a sail/canvas shop to sew it in for you. Once it starts to wear, just replace.

But to answer the OP, the WeatherTechs are all they are cracked up to be.
