Trip To Hungry Vally, CA?

Hey Guys and Gals,

I want to get a meet going for the 23rd of this month to Hungry Valley, CA.

For those of you who have not been, it's nuts there. Off-roading heaven.

Anybody interested?

Once I get some people interested, I'll post an official trip thread with directions and such.

i was there almost 2 weeks ago... lets do a night run! more fun and less crowded! the 23rd i think is the fj meet and is memorial day weekend, its gonna be packed with bikes and quads... gorman is fun with the truck on the weekdays and esp weeknights, camping and offroading till 3am is always fun

 

unless you end up dropping your front end into tank traps, and breaking rear windows

 

Night run, huh? Sounds awesome especially since I just got my new light bar put on.

I didn't realize that it's memorial day weekend. We could just do a camping trip. I don't know how that works. I've never camped there. Only off-roaded.

Lets see what everyone else thinks.

 

hahaha well lessons were definitely learned after the first time! note to self.... bring extra tie downs for whoops... last time im takin his bike in my truck!! and for ur situation, dont worry u got my prerunner to pull u out again

 

There will be none of that allowed. I remember when he posted about that. 700 bucks to fix that, right?

 

im gonna be in arizona partying memorial weekend

 

gorman is open 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week... they got like 6 camping spots... we didnt even pay last time, u just pull up.. start fire, drink, then go ride, get lost, pull out 4xs, its fun

 

Easy Enough. ^^ Even if you do pay, isn't it only like 5 bucks a truck?

 

yup. its not very much at all... its a great place to get out of town for a bit, and its not to far, only 40 miles from me

 

I don't think anybody wants to go because they already have plans for Memorial-day weekend.

I'm still down for a day trip on the 23rd though.

 

And if FJ's are going to be there, that should be fun.

 

hey corey if u wanna do a weeknight run and camp just let me know, im down for whenever on the weekdays

Its just so crowded on a holiday weekend.

 

i was thinking about hittin up gorman the 23rd also

 

if you dont want to pay when you go to Gorman just tell them your going to one of the campgrounds on the National Forest land, they wont charge you since Hungry Valley is a state park

 

they charge u for camping, but if u show up at night time the rangers are already gone. then on the way out if u dont have a sticker and if the ranger is there its only 5 bucks. i dont mind paying it since it helps us keep having fun
