That's what I was thinking... Fuck those are expensive!!

Less than $300 for an entry level winch...

Worth it though. Would be nice for the sandy loose sand stone beytoninte shit here.

Those aren't as bad as mattraxx. 220 for them.

I think I'd put em on my spare tire

I think those winches are more reliable than people give them credit for. Smittybilt's 8000lb winch is $275 right now. $425 with syn. rope.

    Til it breaks;)

I'm sure it is more reliable, but I think a winch will be more effective (so long as you have something to attach the line too).

I wonder if those ramps have ever failed to get someone unstuck though? Like if there are certain conditions where they just weren't very effective or if someone has ever broken them?

I think they are pretty effective even if you have to keep resetting them over and over again. A said I don't think 2 is worth it. Need 4 at least

Yeah, that would be handy for snow or sand, just stick them under your tires real quick and go.

Badlands front bumper with a Smittybilt 8K winch, synthetic winch line. Demello sliders and bedbar. Custom rear bumper. Custom skid plates. Flex-a-lite tranny cooler with fan mounted in bed. Bilstein 5100's with SAW coils, AllPro UCAs, NW offroad rear springs (garbage), 4.88s and front and rear lockrights. Lots of custom sheetmetal work.
I have buried my spare tire with the winch hooked up to it to get me unstuck. Works rather well actually. I did it in about 3' of snow once, and have seen it done in the sand.

    No such thing

1" lift shackles and longer shocks is your cheapest option.
