I am thinking of changing out my 97's dash lights to LED, also thinking of doing the blue, but also like how the white LED's look (saw a pic of another first gens dash with white LED's). Do they dim just like the stock bulbs? I have read that it's not a full dimming effect. I usually have my lights dimmed down low.

Check the post right above yours...

Nevermind, I'm an asshole, you were seeking clarification on the extent of the LED conversions dimming capabilities.

that looks great man. where did you get the bulbs? also my tacoma has an orange film on the hvac control does that need to be removed to get another color or did you just put blue LED's in there and in came through blue?

    Look at build!
I helped a member do his 95.5 and the cluster is the same as the newer models and has 4 194 bulbs & iirc the ac panel in the manual trucks has just 1 #74 bulb i believe

As for where to order them you can get them at a parts store but most goto superbrightleds.com. Ive ordered them from there as well as ebay and Amazon.. just make sure you get a 360* bulb

Heres a link to the 194's
    http://www.superbrightleds.com/more...led-bulb-5-smd-led-wide-angle-wedge-base/206/
    and the 74's
    http://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinfo/miniature-wedge-base/74-led-bulb-1-smd-led-wedge-base/227/
cant remember if these are correct for the older models & in mine i had to do some customization to make them work but heres a pic of all mine lit up

You have to retro fit them. Kind of a pain to do. Unwrap the strand of metal on the 74 bulbs and cut the end of the bulb off and then put in the red socket that the old bulb was in and wrap the two metal strands around where the old bulb was
