Fog Light Mod.

thats weird must be grounding somewhere.


but by far the easiest way to do this mod is to just switch the wires around like i did. you just need to extend the running light wires to reach the bottom. wish i could throw my 3000ks in them without melting them but there is really no reflector in them anyways.

 

I had great success with this mod using Beau02's write up. only hyper blinks if one of the grounds get loose on the new turn signal sockets so be sure to secure those.
For the bumper lights (the old blinkers), i found some nice bright yellow bulbs on ebay to put in em so they could actually function as fogs. looks great and would like to keep them in but the only problem is i need to wire in a switch to control the bumper lights manually otherwise if their on when weather isn't permitted, you'd get pulled over. so because of that i got the clear bulbs in as DRLs.
Anyone know how to wire in a rocker switch with the fog light mod??
I'm guessing a relay has to be thrown in there maybe?

 

Going to do this on my 01 tonight just gota buy some amber 921s' and some clear bulbs for the fogs, what's the number for the bulbs in the old turn signal lights?

 

I did it the EASIEST way ever. Got some clear bulbs for down low installed those. After that I simply swapped the wiring from the corners to the blinkers. DONE

 

U got the hyper blinking still? I'm gana do the exact same but put 921s amber bulbs in the old corner markers

 

I just used the stock bulbs in the corners. I had same size in my box I put amber ones in there. For the valance I have a clear bulb in it. Not hyper blink with regular bulbs

 

Do they even make a 921 amber bulb cuz i can't find one anywhere

the mod runs like the dtr lights just like it would be stock they turn off as soon as you open your door when the engine is off. Im looking forward to doing this MOD tomorrow morning

 

on my corner lights I have L.E.D. light bulbs on there are pretty bright lol take a good look into the bulbs I would have gone silvanias but I found the L.E.D.'s at a good bargain so i didnt pass it

 

In this video here, what other lighting modifications have been done? The delay back to white from blinking is not typical of switchback LEDs I've worked with in the past. Do you have a timed missing-pulse circuit in there somewhere?

 

did the cruise light switch today, only issue is the Hyper corner lights but they look so damn cool hahahahaa

 

How do u make yellow

 

Put 921 bulbs in ur new signal markers and ur hipper blinking will go away

 

I have the small numbs that are in the side markers. No hyper blink

 

there is a 921 bulb on the driver side from the car accident I had a few months ago, I had L.E.D. bulbs on both sides but with the fix I got different bulbs put in to the corner light and my headlight. I had an H.I.D. bulb on aswell but that got messed up need a new kit might go with a different brand.

My buddy had the hyper blink only when he pushed the brake in, and mine had hyper blink even with the 921s. A simple LED resister from Autozone fixed them both. I think they are like 5 bucks each.
