it follows the edge of the plateau along the west bank of the snake river. On the free park maps its called out as "River Road". the south end joins up to the main park road just north of the Taggart Lake trailhead and Cottonwood Creek Picnic area and the north end joins into the park road near Signal Mountain. Last time I drove the whole road it took me over 3 hours and was very washboarded, not difficult just very bumpy...and I think I saw 2 other vehicles the whole time! Its only accessible from inside the park and is open seasonally.

Love that place! We were out there late summer this year on a road trip. I'm looking forward to exploring more of Wyoming soon. It's an incredible State.

no problem. I love the Tetons, try to get down there twice a year to camp and hike and explore. Are you new to the area? I have a couple of other suggestions if you want to explore...I like to find the out of the way spots that aren't flooded with tourists

    Yellowstone too?

We spent one day at the geysers and saw five erupt which was pretty incredible. Originally I didn't want to go up there because time was limited and I plan to allocate a couple of weeks in Yellowstone and nowhere else in the future. There's so much to see up there and I knew I'd get sucked in... I teared up a bit when we left the area bound for Colorado. I'd love to spend a late spring through summer in WY, MT and ID. Gotta make it happen! For those that have never been to the Tetons, you MUST go. :)
