These size tires were chosen because of the type of terrain we drive on. The roads are filled with potholes and when it rains the surface turns muddy and the holes fill with water. These tall skinny tires cut through the mud and reduce significantly the steering wheel tug and splash that occurs with wider tires when you hit puddles of water at speed. The handling off road is amazing as the sides dig in the dirt and reduce slide. Steering wheel tug as I said before is reduced as a result there is less stress on the steering rack. On the Highway the KM2s are surprisingly quiet!!! Riding on such tall rubber gives a slight wallowing feel but nothing dangerous. Off road the wallow is not noticable at all. Not much change in MPGs if you drive sensibly. There is less frontal area on tires..air resistance. They don't quite like heavy cornering at low pressures and tire wear is good. These are load range E tires built for big rigs..F250s ect!! Tacomas are relatively light. I run them 20psi rear 25 front.

I build them here for my buddies in Guyana. I buy the trucks here and mod them. I know the terrain well so I build to suit. I live up here in Florida now.

not in the city. the wheeling starts when you leave the city and head into the jungle..loggers, mining, hunting and just weekend ranch trips. Mostly Toyota 4x4 vehicles.

The 2011 Tacoma was built for High Speed with Long travel suspension. This required a complete suspension change and remodification. The build ended up being very expensive and complicated. This 2005 build is more practical an less expensive and what most people want. its more reliable as it dosnt have multi Uniballs to be eaten up by dirt. I managed to get quite a bit of travel using the stock shock locations using a combination of various products. The ride is amazing.

Both! I'm guessing you maybe build these for clients? Or are these personal projects?

So tell me more about these extended travel lower ball joints.

As well as more about this, if you don't mind.

it seems the new ball joints raised the pivot point of the upper control arm at the spindle, which will for sure give you bump steer, unless you did something else we dont know about:

actually it seems like the ball joints are at the stock location, the pivot point is still right above the spindle, it's just lowered on a structure, which does not affect geometry. Looks sicK!

Bump Steer?? Whats that?? lol. Nothing. The UCA has less droop as it sits higher on top of the spindle but it allows the lower arm to droop furthur down. i have driven it fast on rough roads and havnt notices any significant bump steer. The Austrailians made one sturdy UCA balljoint. I did notice significant movement in the LCA stock bushings which cause the back of the wheel to move aft at least an inch hitting the rear of the front fender. I have special LCA poly bushings imported from Austrailia to install to stop the tearing and flexing of the stock rubber bushings due to increased travel. The bushings tore on a Tundra with the increased travel..poly bushings fixed the problem.

use delrin bushings, makes poly bushings feel like rubber erasers. I replaced all my poly bushings with delrin and it feels like a new truck
