oh man... sux you had to go through all that Jake...

i have toned down my buying online lately... i found a great sales rep in the Pro Dept at Samys up here in Pasadena who price matches very closely to B&H for me so i don't have to wait for shipping or deal with too many issues...

    hope it works itself out...

Sucks Jake. Hopefully, you get your camera back soon.

I hit the Samy's in Santa Barbara. Fine store. Great service and like Mike says, they price match. I mostly buy online from B&H or Adorama. Both companies offer great customer service and their prices are fair. If you need help from either, it's readily available.

Again, good luck and sorry to hear you have to go through this.

i enjoy shooting film with my little k1000 whenever i get a chance. im by no means a good photographer seeing as i dont have a light meter to tell me what aperture and shutter speeds i should be using.

heres a couple random shots with a 50mm and cheapo film

Im guessing for the same reason of some of the comments of people that posted on there.

Might want that distance but not want to pay the price of the f/2.8. You're still getting L quality glass for less $$ as the f/2.8.

I do see why it makes you wonder why they would release this lens considering there is a 24-105 f/4 :notsure:

Awesome one of a kind Ansel Adams book. Written in memory of Russell H. Varian.

    ImageUploadedByTapatalk1352410673.354192.jpg

It was a treat to see the chapters of this book laid out in their original form. It was published in a limited release in 1961.

I attended a workshop held at the V6 Ranch in Parkfield. Here are a few of my favorites.

ian408 - I would suggest shutter speed priority or manual and select a slow shutter speed while focusing in on the subject to get that motion blur

Shot the first round of the NCAA Soccer Tourny at USF yesterday. We won on PKs. I'll upload some images later. I've got a Basketball game tonight and round 2 on Sunday.
