Had mine for only a few days and I am already getting a code, good timing.

Question. I calibrated the distance, but now my MPH is WAY off. It shows me 20-30% under what the truck says and the GPS units says I am actually doing about 5% over what the truck says.

So I didn't end up ordering one for myself, but I let two T4R members use the group buy (shipped to one address). I'm wondering how I can complete the rebate form without having a UG manual. Could I have each of them complete the rebate online and just sign my name? Or should I just have them send me the info needed and do it myself?

Bummed I couldn't get one, but I ended up picking up some Donahoe's and a tube bumper instead.

I got my install finished up today. After going through a bunch of threads looking for install photos, I decided to go with parboy's idea of using a bracket attached under the visor mount screw. I didn't have any scrap metal or brackets laying around but I did find this wrench:

(I think it came with some closet doors we installed years ago)

So after some bending and tweaking along with a quick clean up and paint job, it turned into this:

    The finished product:

Nothing else was needed. The tension from the curvature of the metal and the UltraGuage mounting bracket holds everything together perfectly.

A great thread. Just goes to show nothing is ever wasted even a rusty old wrench!

Have them fill it out and scan it/email it to you. Then you can email it to UG for the rebate

So I know I'm the OP and I'm supposed to have all the answers, but I'm confused.... I haven't gone through any initial setup other than it asking for my fuel tank size and engine size. From there is started working right away. Only problem is now it thinks I have a full tank when really I only have 1 quarter. it won't figure it out.

So with that said, if it doesn't sense fuel level, then how can the TTE and DTE be correct? What happens if I only fill up half a tank and not all the way, will it know or think its full?

Also, our tanks are like 22 gallons around there but when I fill up I never get more than 17-18 in it, and that's even after driving with the light on for 20+ miles. If that's the case, then if I fill up the reset the gauge its gonna think I have 22 usable gallons in it. What's going on here?

These trucks don't have the fuel sensor.
So when you fill up you can either select the full tank option or the partial tank option, where it will ask how many gallons you put in it. You'll probably have to fill it up completely one time just to get it synced, then go from there. As far as the TTE and DTE goes, you have to calibrate it to your truck and then it should be pretty accurate if done correctly.
