shouldnt make steering feel tighter, that is all in how it's aligned and how the spindle is designed to maintain stock geometry with the tie rod. Next weakest link with FULL heimed steering is the rack itself, so instead of replacing tie rods, you gotta carry a spare rack with you:

Damn tore the passenger arm off the frame! Guess that's better than the arm ripping

I have full heimed steering for almost three years now. I never felt the difference over stock when it was first installed. But for what i put my junk through i think they are a key thing to have. No issues overall with them except for one time in front of my chicks parents house at two in the morning the passenger outer heim broke for no apparent reason...crazy as it may seem

I have a used spare one at home somewhere..but I need to get to the bottom of this. So lucky this happened at work and not on the trail or speeding down the highway.

Believe it or not it tracks fine and steers fine as long as I go straight. Lucky for me all I to do was back up about 50 feet and go back into the driveway..fuck I'm.so lucky

Can you double shear those on a stock 2nd gen spindle? I have seen on 1st gens you can double shear heimed steering on a stock spindle

Only one I've seen is the spindle SDHQ made for the Uber FJ. It takes so special welding techniques and processes for it to be truly strong.

Whenever I get some custom spindles made double sheer will be incorporated into the design
