Satoshi'd grill. blacked out badges. aftermarket sound system. De-chromed and color matched. OME 885s + Dakars with 3rd leaf removed. LR UCAs. Scs stealth 6 with 285 duratracs. BAMF sliders
This is probably the smarter way to go, i dont wanna regret getting a tire not aggressive enough when i am offroading, its just hard to justify spending that much.

I'll look into these more, i have heard they do pretty well in the snow, and cheaper than the duratracs

 im going with 285/70r17 for sure. I have a set of the SCS6 ready for some fatties. The company i work for just gave me a work van so my mileage on the tacoma went from over 500 a week to less than 50 a week :D

Thanks for the input guys, i am a little indecisive when it comes to my truck lol

Ive had the destination a/t's a little over a year now. They've suited my needs so far. Coming from the stock dunflops they were a night and day difference in the snow and mud. They ride pretty quiet and i can still take corners moderately fast, haha. Keep in mind ive never had mud terrain tire, so i cant really judge how much more performance they give over an all terrain.

Work trucks ftw! I now fill my tank once a month instead of every 5-6 days like i used to.

Ya this is almost better than getting a raise right now, i was filling up twice a week, and sitting in horrible traffic on 95, with my 6 speed. I am starting to miss my truck already though. My company actually has a fleet of toyotas, i was pushing for a tacoma, only supervisors get trucks  us dumb carpenters get big slow noisy gmc vans.

I actually had the firestones about 3 or 4 years ago on my 2wd s-10 and i loved them. But i wasn't into offroading back then. They did really well in the snow and during normal driving. I have never had any tire more aggressive either so i am thinking the duratracs will blow me away offroad lol. Dammit :frusty: can't make up my mind

None yet but soon all black.
I was looking at treadwrights online. Seem to be super cheap but idk. Something about treadwrights worry me:(.

Wow. Once a week is nice. Wish I had a company truck. I filled up saturday afternoon and tuesday morning I was empty lol. Most of the time, I go just about 2 days and need to fill up. I'm always in traffic so i guess the stop and go really takes a toll on it. There isnt a day where I dont hit traffic. 128 is deff a nightmare:mad:

Fixed lol. Treadwrights are tempting, i want something that does well in the snow and in skeptical about those. I also want sliders.... Have you read this about the treadwrights?

    WITH KEDGE GRIP

Kedge Grip: Our own unique blend of crushed (recycled) glass and crushed walnut shell particle blended into our full grade truck rubber. Kedge Grip acts in a twofold way; first the walnut shell is designed to come out leaving small (approximately 1 mm) size pits in the tread surface that will act as additional siping and create more traction edges to grip the road. The second is the crushed glass which is designed to stay in longer and create a gritty surface to help anchor you to the road. Does it really work? Don’t take our word for it, read some of the testimonials. Also, check out the 4Wheeler magazine (though under a different name that we are not allowed to use any longer due to trademark issues) in the August 2009 issue. They consistently had excellent results with our Kedge Grip.

    Walnuts and glass... :notsure:

Evan, A/T's are perfectly fine for the winters up here, just make sure they're siped. My old Cooper ATRs were great in the snow, never got the AT3s in the snow but I've never been disappointed with their tires in the winter. Hell, I'm going into this winter with H/T tires  With a light foot, 4wd and some extra weight, you'll be fine.

I went through a winter in vermont with nearly bald tires on a geo prism, as long as you know how to drive in the snow it is no problem. Although i do recall not being able to make it up a hill and my 3 buddys got out and jumped up and down on the hood... made it up the hill lol. I am in the market for some new tires because i am going up to 33s, i really like wheeling in the snow so i want an all terrain that will do really well in the snow and also year round. Decisions, decisions...

They are sexy. I am slowly being persuaded to not buy cheap tires.

Replaced front rotors and inspected pads to make sure I don't ruin the new rotors. Cannot figure out how to take the rears off! I'm pretty sure I fucked up my parking brake :notsure:
