Aight gents... Just sold my truck, and got the other truck down to $23,000... He won't go a penny below that? Feel like that's a good deal?

 

thats right at KBB isn't it? with lift, and supercharger i'd say thats decent.

 

Lift, supercharger, icon db coil overs and billet UCA's, Doug Thorley long tube headers... Um... I think that's about it

 

but NONE of that add value to the truck! actually they kinda take a way from it.

 

if you wanted to add the super and icons, ect. than it's a better deal than buying used, or keeping what you have and upgrading.

according to "experts" modifications decrease value, but to someone who knows what their looking at it can add value.

 

yeah it can sometimes be cheaper to by a used one with stuff you want on it.

 

That's the best deal ull ever get on all that stuff. Don't even waste ur time trying to tell someone that has 10k worth of parts in their truck that its all worthless. If u told me that I would tell u to fuck off and u damn sure wouldn't have a chance in buying my truck after that no matter what u offered! But anyway, way did u sell ur truck for?

Lol. Ya it wasn't worth the battle. I mean th difference in getting it for $22,000 and $23,000 was like $15/month on payments. Oh well, I sold my truck for $17,500 and I'm gonna be in this one at $23,000... But I went from a 2wd auto to 4wd manual supercharged monster... So I'm excited to say the least!

yeah, the whole "mods don't add value thing" is more to brace sellers than buyers. It doesn't add value to someone who just wants a stock truck (if you'd been shopping for stock, you'd have passed on this guys') but it does to someone who is interested in the mods. Sounds like you did alright. A lot of people want to drop their truck at a dealer and walk away, and expect the mods to add value - in that instance, it won't.

Oh yeah, since you'll have a 6-speed, don't forget to look at doing the TSB for throw-out bearings! They apparently have a new TSB to fix the issue of metal-on-aluminum causing issues. If I had a 6-speed, I'd want to get the trans fix for it before you have a problem. If you're not going to have a warranty, you can get a kit from here: http://pdmusa1.com/

Hold on.... The guy that is buying my truck caught a snag I financing. I need him to work this out by tomorrow because I'm playing on paying for the other one early next week... And I can't buy it without selling mine first. Praying for a miracle!!!

Ya... I guess I shouldn't have said my truck was "sold" until the money was in my hand. Last night he was like "where you want the check sent to, bro?" Because the bank said they approved him, but then they called back today and said he didn't qualify after they sent him my VIN... Son of a!!!!! He said he's gonna call some other banks
