The 4 door JK's have the same wheel base as a 1st gen, but add about a foot and a half to the turning circle.

 

I watched a vide of a WJ wheeling. Pretty funny haha!

 

I get what you guys are saying. I am just saying its worth a shot. I am not afraid of scratches or anything haha. I have been on trails just that tight, not with a whole bunch of switchbacks but still.

 

and the fact that I have lift and actual tires means I wont have to navigate around tiny little rocks like the RZR's did

 

I am not afraid of no drop. Ask the guys who ran Kane's Creek haha! Had to be winched off the side of the canyon wall

 

Well you seem to be arguing the switchbacks are what will hold me up? So then why would the fall kill me? It isnt too narrow for me. Hell Monte is wider than I am so he would be more at risk. Sure it would be hard as hell to get around the turns but I dont think I would be any more at risk of falling off than anyone else.

 

Ill just bring the MT bike then haha

 

can I get a hell ya for first gens? I dont see any of us worrying about it



also, i was walking towards my truck yesterday staring at the tires and realized i want monte's tires. My tires are too skinny and pizza cutter looking haha. Wide stance is sick

 

Lol no, MONTE has obese tires, I have normal average tires, and YOU have Ethiopian tires. Kind of fits our specific body shapes pretty well actually! Each of our physical forms is accurately represented by our tire size!

 

I am going skinny tires like Ben. With my fender flares now removed they will still stick out but have less negative effects on my vehicle. I like the look of wider tires but after running them and then driving something with skinnier and taller tires I have noticed how much I lost when I purchased my 285's.

 

The trail did look a little skinny in some places, but all of the switchbacks in the vid looked fine except the one they stopped to take pics at. That one might be a little slower going. I didn't count the switchbacks in the vids, but I would guess that was around half of them. There's 28 total isn't there?

I love my 255's I just wish they came taller

 

Can't run a 15. haha North's tire size would be a better option. It is only a little wider than mine. If Michelin would get on the ball, they used to make a 255/100R16 M/T for the military. Would be sick. Nobody likes tall and skinny though, so the taller you go the wider they get anymore...

Some are freaking super tight. I can think of at least 4 that will be very tight for everyone. 5+point turn easy.

This is a huge drop. My truck is in the center..and this is only 3/4 up. It's gonna be never racking in a truck. Fun, but definitely butt clenched


Don't get me wrong I think you and Brady can make it up. You'll just have a bit of a harder time and we will all do our best to ensure you make it to the top.

And we will have issues as well I have no doubt. I think our biggest issue will be that we will have to help each truck up each corner..and there is a lot..and a lot of people

Those are sexy! I would totally run those! My only problem would be that my super bad ass 4 cylinder probably would not make it to 75 mph with those things, and in the process I would be getting about 2^-10 mpg.

Can any of you make out the size on the side wall of that tire. Ad says they are 36's, but the cooper website doesn't list anything bigger than a 35 for that type of tire.

No cutting the the corners save for a few will be too hard or impossible to cut due to either boulders or a mini cliff wall haha

Lockers will help a Ton. I'm going to make sure I have a winch before I go haha
