What have you done to your Tacoma today? 1st Gen Edition

Painted my stock wheels black and they came out awesome! Also got my 18" Magnaflow! That thing sounds AWESOME!!!

Now it's a good time to black out the chrome bumper inserts.

I used Duplicolor Semi-Gloss Black engine enamel.

-Washed wheels with scouring pads(soap and water)
-Sanded with 320 Grit
-Blew off dust with air compressor
-Wiped them down with Acetone
-Used the index card method
-Primed with self-etching primer
-Painted w/engine enamel (3 coats)
-Smiled at my beautiful new wheels!

The last step is very important!!!

Bumper inserts, mirrors and door handles are next!

Now you need to pick up some black lug nuts

 

It's too easy man, be confident. Just take your time prepping and don't hold the can too close to the wheel and you can't go wrong!

What did you use for the red toyota symbol? Did you buy black lugs or paint?

Got new BFG KO's. Had over 85,000 miles on the old ones. Great tire, never had any issues with 'em so I thought I'd get the same ones.

Holy shit have tires gone up in the last 6 years!!

Imagine the sticker shock when I went to buy my 2nd set of BFGs... had 105,000 miles on them over the course of 8 years.

 

You are correct. I pondered the LT's for a while but went with the P metric. The whole (previous tires were P, will see 80% highway 20 off road) got to me. Still very happy with the tire. Handles well in the rain to boot.

 

I had done a deckplate mod and with the intake ive noticed a little more power. If i had gone from stock no mods to the intake would have benn a big difference. I like the kit. Its nice was watching the guys at tg Install it didnt take long at all.

 

I don't think you'll bend that one. At least not easily.
