Balljoints do what the Uniball UCA does. The Geometry is fine and i dont notice the difference in ride with Balljoint UCAs or Uniball UCAs and i have driven both. At full droop the UCA Balljoint is very close to full deflection. I can remove the 2 Lower balljoint support bolts and see that the Balljoint is almost fully extended. I would like to install limit straps as Safety as i am installing 700lb springs which will quickly extend shock if airbourne. it dosnt need a limit strap but one would be piece of mind. Full compression is not an issue reaching the up limit of the balljoint. I am using Timbren SES Bumpstops in front which realy Help taking out the sudden stop of the LCA against the frame. Its a very soft cushioned ride in the big bumps.
You guys in the US wont need these Balljoints anyway. I am using them in this build because the Uniballs have to be changed within 4 to 5 months . the trucks go into the Jungle sometimes daily driving hundreds of miles in wet, muddy, sandy conditions. Trucks here are weekend off road warriors and Uniballs last much longer and are easy to get over here. The Austrailians developed the Balljoint for the same reason..the trucks work hard and are driven in severe terrain..Uniballs just dont cut it so they had to be an alternative for long travel without uniballs using the stock LCA.

buy 2" diameter stock of delrin and machine them to fit. We did that with 5 feet of delrin and made enough bushings for the front and rear suspension pivots for almost 3 trucks:

They are MaxLeds from Autozone or Advanced Auto...Super White. Remember Max Led not the Flex Led. Just wire them up to your park lights. 3M adhesive on the back to stick it where you want.

After reading the forums on Spring preload and Heavy bumpers i decided to get the 700lb springs..just like what most people suggested..well i installed them and was unable to lower the suspension to the correct ride height as the adjuster rings are at the top of the threads. Truck rides like crap as there is not enough droop. I ordered 14inch 600lb springs to replace the Original 13in 600lb springs which were severly preloaded due to weight. I am of the opinion that a one inch taller 600lb spring would give me the preload i want....Trial and error!!!!!!

    Thanks Miles,

monster rides doesn't seem to have a functioning website, but I have noted Max's email on another forum. In Canada we have the same challenge with Uniballs, particularly the abuse in the winter muck; I can't see a Uniball lasting. I went with the same UCAs and standard Moog BJ, but had read about these. I gather these extended units are rather expensive to bring in.

$200.00 USD delivered to me in fl. The joints offer more droop so don't use with stock length shock. I am using the longer Fox shock that requires after market UCA

Good to know about the shock length. I'm using OME 885 springs (longer length than coilovers) and OME nitrocharger shocks. I'm not sure on the shock length spec on these, so maybe a stock BJ is correct for me then. Thank-you Miles for your prompt reply.
