I have an 01 tacoma 4x4 and I don't have any brake lights or turn signals on my trailer, but I do have running lights. I changed the pigtail on the truck, same thing. I rewired my trailer, same thing. Is there some kind of control box on the truck that can cause this? All of my fuses are good I checked them twice. Any ideas?

recheck your ground. i ran into the same problem one time....running lights were ok, but the rest wouldnt work. it turned out to be a bad ground. i grinded off some paint, and grounded to fresh metal, and it was fine after that.

It is a 4 pin pigtail from the factory. Both of my trailers are 4 pin. My friend and I have checked the circiuts with a multimeter and I'm 99.9% sure that it's right, but I will check again though. I've checked the ground on bare metal and it does the same thing. Everything worked fine before on both of my trailers. Yeah my big trailer does the same thing, and I know for a fact that it is okay. Also I forgot to mention, a guy rolled into the back of my truck about a week ago and I'm wondering if that might have blown something else. He hit my receiver so it didn't hurt my truck.

Hey guys, I've pretty much narrowed it down to my truck being the problem. I think my light converter went bad. What do ya'll think about these part numbers? Hoppy 43315 and drawtite 118379. Which would you choose?
