Man if I get the Jeep back together within the next 5 years I will be happy! I have spent probably over 100 hours on the rear suspension alone (mostly staring at it scratching my head).

I wanna go play so bad.

Recently I have had a string of bad luck, 2 weekends ago I ended up damaging my transmission on my Honda CRF 488R, popped out of 5th gear and wont stay in at all, just pops right out (probable shift fork bent) then the very next weekend I was riding my YZ 295 and ended up doing almost the same thing to it as well. It pops into 4th for a split second under hard acceleration and right back into 5th again.
I have the YZ motor scattered across my bench waiting for parts.

The Jeep is all cut up and I am trying to fit in the rear coilovers, I have already added the hydraulic bumps and axle pads, built hoops for the shock mounts and built pads for the lower shock mounts. Now I am having the problem of mounting so it wont touch either the frame or the tire under full articulation, and having a really hard time, its to the point where I have to completely cut the frame out in a 7" section since the notch isnt enough.

The reason its so hard it because I am trying to retain the rear seats which is almost impossible, key word is "almost". There really isnt much room in the wheelwell in the first place, but I have pretty much cut out the entire wheelwell just to make space for fitting, gonna make a new one when I am done.

So all my desert toys are in repair and next week was supposed to be a week of fun for me, not sure what will happen now, if all goes well I will be able to have 1 bike and the Jeep working by MOnday, but gonna be pulling 12+ hour days tlll then like I have for the last week. Starting to make me cranky.

    I am determined!!!!!!

I'm trying, my plan is to be in Oco as well, IF I get stuff working....hopefully we can get together..

Holy duck! Is there a limit?

    Ebay!

Yes sounds like a plan, borrow a Diesel with a programmer maxxed out and have a smokefest!

Looking to see if anyone else has or has had a squeaky steering rack. I'm pretty sure thats where the noise is coming from on mine. I get a loud squeaky door sound when I crank the wheel when going really slow or stopped. Everything feels tight, looks straight etc. No leaks visible, I have not really looked too deep yet. Just curious if anyone else has had this and what the cause was.

Check your uniball on the uca or the bushings on it needs some lube. Or it could be the tie rod or lower ball joint areas running low on grease also

Uniballs are lubed up, UCA bushings greased. Really sounds like steering rack. Will look closer this weekend though. Mario is coming over early tomorrow to give her a long overdue bath, inside and out

Go to Toyota of Kearney Mesa. Ask for Ron Watsek. He should help you out.
