    well with a single action you have to physically cock it to shoot...if you need it in an emergency then you might not have time to do it or will fumble with it..with a double action you just pull the trigger but you can pull the hammer back and shoot it single action too...

    my next revolver will be a S&W TRR8 its an 8 shot 357 magnum double action made of scandium(lightweight alloy mix of scandium/alum) its cut for moon clips can be shot in single or double action and has a removable rail

    trr8= tactical removable rail 8 shot it was actually made for police behind a riot shield where a semi auto might hit the shield and not chamber a new round

    any one ever shot a 500,
    biggest revolver ive shot is a 454, and that mofo kicks like mule…. i wonder is the S&W 500 kicks that much harder.

    shot a 500 last year, guy i know sells tractors had a guy miss a payment or something took it instead. had a scope on it for deer hunting. i really expected it to kick way worse than it did when i shot it. the muzzlebreak it had def helped with recoil i'd say. also it was MUCH louder than the 308's 270's 30-06 we were shooting. actually had the neighbors call the cops because they thought we were blowing stuff up. cop came, checked the gun out/enjoyed it, then left and we kept shooting

    remington 870sps my turkey gun, but with the red dot scope and a full choke it is lethal with buckshot out to 75 yards.
    savage 17hmr mainly hunt small game with it but may try to take a doe later in the season with it.

    Oh yeah….the 454 is hella-loud too…. I shot it outdoors too, you can hear the echo for very long like a high power rifle. I actually shot it without hearing protection and I can tell you that that's something I will never do again.

    technically no, 22 is the smallest legal caliber you can go here but it should be revised since the introduction of this caliber. 17's bust 22s all day long and on sunday.its all about shot placement if i can decapitate a squirrel at 50 yards i can put one between the eyes of a doe. doubt ill take it, but it has crossed my mind.
