Bob, I need to figure out how to get that D-ring hitch from you so I have a recovery point. You don't find yourself coming up north too often, do you?

I think there are some people getting their panties in a wad for no reason. This letter isn't petitioning to ban 4x4 access, it just states that the current Federal land use plan doesn't address the growing 4x4 community among other more significant issues such as the development expansion and privitization of federal lands. One of the companies on that list (Access Fund) is a non-profit that fights to keep access open for rock climbers and outdoor enthusiasts. Some may not know it, but the land for North Table Mountain in Golden was purchased by the access fund in order to keep that climbing area from being closed. I don't think they would sponsor anything that would restrict access to backcountry areas. Another company on that list, Rim Tours in Moab, would most likely go out of business if 4x4 access was cut.

Responsible and respectable OHV users shouldn't have much to worry about as a result of that letter, IMO. If those federal lands are privatized, then they'll most likely get closed.

usually not man, not this time of year at least

during tax season i venture north for clients..but typically my travels are to denver and into the mountains

edit: i will be taking trips throughout the winter up to cameron pass, so that could be an option...but idk how often or when that would be

But not as good on the occasional dirt road.
Well if I head down that way I'll try to get a hold of you and vice versa maybe. I appreciate you helping me out with it. I don't think I have your number, so I will have to get it at some point.

I realize this. But 1) have you ever sat in one? If so, you wouldn't want to ride in one 8-10hrs a day. Not that the Subaru is a cozy cruiser but in comparison it is and 2) ever seen the ground clearance on one? AWD doesn't do you much good if you barely have clearance over rain standing on the roadways and lastly... would you want to tear a Lambo down a windy dirt road in pursuit?

    Rain? In Colorado?

If we are going to pursue someone down a windy dirt road, then I want this:
