Ha ha! Yup! I got it thru LKQ Corp./Keystone Automotive. They shipped one from their warehouse in Cali. up to the one in Boise, and I just had to pick it up! :) Console cost 75 bucks.

    $75 new?

If that's the case, that's a smoking deal.

I noticed last night that when I turn my knob from heat to defrost it kicks the ac compressor on even though the ac button is not pressed. Is it normally supposed to kick on? I've never noticed this before

but since the compressor comes on shouldnt it be meant for it to? cause they wouldnt make it do something unless it was meant to, except for the diff lock mod... thats just pointless

    Yes.

Do not do this mod if you need to actually defrost your windows.

The AC comes on because it needs to dehumidify the air it's blowing on your cold windshield in order to clear it. If it blows moist air onto your cold windshield water will condense on it, thus defeating the purpose of defrosting your windshield.

The reason why your AC light doesn't light up is because most average Americans would freak out thinking something was wrong.

I didn't ask since I'm dying and painting mine black...

Not new... used, abused, and nasty! I'm pretty sure it got pulled out of a junk yard from a Yota that's been there for a while! I took every little bit apart (like you said) and scrub washed it all... and it came out much better looking! :)
