The MS2 and MS3 that I tried and also saw running in a few classes didn't really pan out all that well. When you are transitioning from one to two most sometimes takes too long compared to guys that were running traditional two point rigs. That could be just a matter of being familiar with the sling though. But I certainly didn't see anyone with the Magpul sling beating traditional two points when it came to shoulder changes and barricade drills. Which if I'm not mistaken is what it was designed to accomplish.

I'm rocking a ms3 right now. It's eh to me. I'm probably going to get a vtac sling later on. Only reason I went with the ms3 is I have a buffer tube mount quick disconnect mount and the ms3 has a qd on it.

Here is a question for you. I just purchased an LWRC M6A2 what would you suggest is a good plinking ammo for it and what would be good ammo for sighting in red dot to 300m.
For the record I am not new to weapons, I am ignorant on ammunition though! Uncle Sugar always made sure I had ammo and I used what he gave me. Now that I have to pay it seems logical to me to have two types or am I wrong? I am asking here because there has been some very informative posts/replies. Thanks in advance.

At this point anything that you can find that is realistic in price and quantity. I like 5.56 loadings personally (Privi, M-193 loadings from Federal or Lake City if you can find it.).
Your LWRC should eat just about anything considering you can change your gas settings. I'd get only about 200rds of "Quality" ammo though. Anything bonded or used for hunting is good for self defense rounds in .223/5.56 for the most part. I'd test out soft point ammo to make sure it functions in you rifle first if I were to go that route.

m855 gets expensive when shooting paper. Ive been using the 100 round federal bulk packs from wal mart and they run fine for the range, 34 bucks . Hornady wants $30 for a 50 round pack of steel case ammo...

Your LWRCI will run anything you put in it. I tend to shy away from lacquered steel cased because the savings is not worth the trouble it has brought me in the past with other rifles. Apricot shot said it best 55gr 5.56 and 62gr. 5.56 are good practice ammo from Prvi, Federal, and Lake City. Your barrel is a 1:7 Twist so the heavier the better. Mine ran great with Federal Match ammo, best groups coming out of the 75gr green box match ammo. It also does amazingly well with PMC Bronze and XTAC too. I have printed sub 1" groups with the XTAC in my M6A3 DMR. YMMV Sandman could probably give pretty good consultation as well.

    I have a PWS MK-216 .308/7.62mm - LOVE it!!!

Primary Weapons Systems is pretty unknown (it seems) but, their quality is top notch. These rifles use the AK-47 style system which is VERY reliable. They also produce .223 / 5.56mm platforms as well. Check them out before you commit. :)

The purpose for this weapon will be for extended ranges. I dont want to jump up to an AR10 because the weight of the system but I dont think 6.8 has enough ass or offers high enough BC at 700m+.

I do handload so im not worried as much as availability.

Actually it does. 6.8 has been tested to 800 meters out of a 16" barrel with no problems what so ever. ATK is developing some even better long range rounds as we speak.

I guess to say 6.8 doesnt have enough ass at range is the wrong way to put it. They are pretty evenly matched cartridges until the 700-800m mark then the better BC offerings in 6.5 will come out on top.

But does anyone have a 6-5?
