What did you guys have BEFORE the tacoma???

2000 Dodge Ram 1500 4 x 4, I don't miss the ten miles per gallon.

 

Won't go into details of the other cars we had. I will just say we got rid of our 95 4runner with 80k+ mi for $3500. Friend got a deal,but we needed to make space for the Taco.

 

My first "fun truck" was a new 1996 Chevrolet S-10 ZR2. I loved her! I've had that thought about old girlfriends too. I was wrong about them though!

 

2007 4x4 SR5 4Runner. Still have it and alternate between it and the Taco.

x2 On a Jeep. And I have to be honest it is a DAILY battle to not dump this Tacoma and go pick up a 2013 Rubi.

90 Talon TSi - AWD turbo - most unreliable POS DSM ever still ran 14's
2000 Frontier 4x4 - 6" lift w/ 33's - just sold it last year 180k miles
98 Civic Hatch - stock
2006 Maxima - auto tranny went out 1 month after warranty expired

2011 Subie WRX - stage 2 - ran low 12's - in 1 year / 11,000 miles i went thru: 2 wheel bearings, steering column leaking, power steering pump failing, 2 check engine lights (o2 sensor, ABS sensor) - hate getting rid of it, but it was at the dealership getting fixed more than driving it, and i drove it conservatively most of the time.... very disappointed!

now:
1995 240sx w/ ls1 (zo6 internals, roll cage)
2013 Tacoma access cab 4x4 - 4banger (v8 one day)

i might of missed one in there somewhere...

 

I had two Jeeps before the Tacoma. An '01 XJ and a '97 TJ.





I loved them both, I'd built them both from stock. It's been an everyday battle not to trade the truck for an LJ Rubi. It was hard to see the TJ go...

 

Yep I had a 84 CJ, an 01 Cherokee ans a 2006 LJ. I opted for the Tacoma for a nicer street ride but man those new Rubi's are NICE. On the computer now looking at trade-in options...................

 

Had an 03 S10 ZR2...looked nice but fraught with problems at only 100k.

 

Yeah, they are. My father test drove one of the new 2 door Rubi's with the 3.6L Pentastar and loved it. Says it was way more powerful than his 1st Gen 4.7 Tundra.

 

I'm trying to keep from test driving because once I do that, its straight to the finance office haha

 

I sold my 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan. I should have kept it. I miss that luxury beast.

Had a 2007 ford sport trac. Loved the truck but had to get rid of it because it couldn't tow my 5,000 lb plus boat. This truck had a lot more creature comforts than my 2013 Taco does.
