Long Travel BS Thread

    Travel Wise:

    Giant > DMZ > Defind

    Ease of Install:

    Defined = Giant (Bolt on, aside from Spring perches). DMZ has to be welded

    Quality:

    DMZ = Defined (Top notch). People have had issues with Giant kit rubbing and what not.

    All work in the same way. 15-18" Travel is all you reallly need in the rear before the front can't really keep up. I'd recommend DMZ or Defined Depending on what you're taste is:cool:

    Hey guys,

    Quick question. When you buy fiberglass (since we're on the topic) do you have to paint it? I heard if you don't, UV rays crack the fiberglass and slowly destroys it.

    They just sell Shackle & Spring Hangers. Uses regualr style shackles. Could buy those then pick up a 50T pack from the Engage Black Friday Sale :cool:

    idk but i advise you look into the other front fender option, the ones that flex.
    my fiberglass front and rear, both sides is fuuuubarrd!

    With the flex fenders you have to find a paint that can flex also....

    You could still have the same UV issue with the flex fenders also, but I haven't done any research since I'm not in the market for any.

    Just need to know if I should properly paint my fenders before its too late

    That wouldn't have something to do with rolling the truck not the actual fiberglass :p?

    All are good, and equally balanced with pros/cons.

    MMW also have a kit I believe they'll be coming out with. Tacokid is testing currently

    Im pretty sure the defined kit has a specific leaf pack. Same with DMZ. Both custom deavers.

    i have seen a build where someone put a hydro bump on stock lower control arms but i cant find it, does anyone have a link?
