Guys, what tires came on your 2013 DCSB TRD Off road package?
Mine are BF Goodrich Rugged Trail T/A (with block white letters).

Reason I am asking is I feel the dealship did the old switcheroo with the tires on this truck. There was 13 miles on the truck when I took delivery and the tread on these tires does NOT reflect 13 miles. There was not even any of the "nubbies" on the tires and they look more like a 10,000 mile tire than a 13 mile tire !!!!

Anyone else with a 2013 Have BFG Rugged Trail T/A tires on their 2013 from new ????

Bilstein 5100 F&R Eibach at .85 with top plate spacer, 1.5 AAL,LR UCA's Tinted Windows, Weathertech Floormats, Ultra Gauge, 20" light bar behind grill
Those are the stock tires that come with that truck(265 70 16). I got my 2012 2 months ago and I did not have "nubbies" on mine when i got it either. From pictures I have looked at it doesnt look like those tires have "nubbies" when new.

Rugged Fails? Yes, I think that's the standard TRD OR tire.

So, those are what came on mine also and no nubs.

Stopped by my tire store today to see about upgrade to what I had on my last truck which were BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO Off-Road Tires

I liked the way they held up, the miles I got out of them, and they seemed to do just fine for me when off road. They had good solid sidewalls when I would air down.

So they said that size is not made anymore as the company is focusing on those 18 and 20 inch tires.

What to do? Did lots of looking last time before I settled on those. Low road noise, good in most conditions, high miles, and good sidewall strength.

    Recommendations for replacement?

I just put some BF AT on my truck. I find it hard to believe you can't find the right size you need. Remember that a 265/75/16 will fit. No rubbing. Check Amazon. 4wheel parts carries them also.

    Hello,

I love my new 13 TRD Offroad and am interested in making it more affordable. Thanks in advance for all of the advice!
I had a 2002 TRD Offroad and now have a 2013 TRD Offroad. I have the stock Goodrich Trails and they SUCK in snow. I drove in a narly snow storm last night and was nervous for the first time in a Tacoma:( My 02 had oversize BFG ATs,275/75/16, I think (rubbed but only at wheel lock) and they were fantastic in the snow. I'm looking for new tires/rims to replace the crap stock tires and allow me to get in some deeper snow this winter, like I could roll through in my old 02.

My last double cab was a TRD off road and when I bought it the thing had 5k miles on a set of rugged trails. They looked to me more like a tire with 20k on them but they really did only have 5k. They just don't have a very deep tread depth when new. And they ABSOLUTELY SUCK in the snow. I never changed them on mine and sold the truck 30k miles later and the tires were about shot. Pretty pathetic treadlife for a truck tire. On the truck before that I had General Grabber AT2's that I loved in 265/70/16. Sold that one with 30k miles on the tires and they still looked new. I wanted BFG AT's for it but at the time they only offered the 265/70's in 10 ply. I've got Grabber HTS' on my current truck. They are supposed to be great in the snow but it hasn't snowed here yet.

my 2010 taco off- road still has the original rugged trails , 38,000 miles on them.. still have at least 20,000 more miles to go before they are done... dealer has rotated every 5,000 miles and told me I will get at least another 20k out of them. I have driven these tires in all conditions and they have been average to above average in ALL conditions. they aren't true off-road tires like their big brothers, but they have never left me stuck or stranded. and highway performance is the best in show, as they are very light weight(37lbs.) and I consistently get 21 mpg's... have always stayed in balance and never a flat once.. I am runnin' em' till they are bald... I say 5 stars for a cheap off-road tire indeed!!!!!!!

So the tires are over a year old. Do you still like them and on the highway how is the ride, vibrations, noise, etc.

    Thanks, Craig
