Nah I'm flying home. Might drive when I come home for good, but that's not till may 2015 :/. I have toyed with the idea of coming home next summer, buying a 2nd gen, and making the drive back to AK. They are so damn expensive in Alaska! Plus the drive would be pretty sweet.

 

oh cool! yeah i was looking at it, i think it was like it’s a little over 4k miles from knoxville to Anchorage. google says 4,109 and sends you into canada in north dakota, another is 4,531. and you go into canada in MT.

 

Yeah it'd be a hell of a trip but definitely one of a kind.

 

yeah it would be. idk i was looking one day, at different ways you could go. i think for me it maybe good to go up i-75 to Cincinnati than take i-74 over and get on i-80 than take 29 up to i-90 over to WA and than go into canada.

 

Any of you guys interested in an ATO Hi lift jack bed rail mount? I bought it a couple of months ago and Kevin had some personal issues come up and he didn't email me back for over a month and I heard he shut down his shop. So, I ordered a set from someone else and got them installed (pic attached). Then he got everything back together and sent them too me, but I had already got some more, because I honestly didn't think I would ever get them. Anyways, I thought I would give you guys an opportunity first to scoop them up, before I post them on the for sale section.

I paid $75. I would like to get $60. I am just going to take a loss and be happy that I got anything at all back! lol... They are brand new and never installed. If no one wants them, I will post them after thanksgiving to get them sold.

 

I have the ATO mounts, they're awesome, somebody will want them for sure.

have fun driving brother. I just went a picked up a jeep for my buddy went to detroit and drove back to chatt town made good time. I hope it all works out and hope to see it around in chatt sounds awesome!

 

If I can get it worked out I will probably have it shipped. Cost about $1,000 to do, unless anyone knows of a cheaper option?

But... It would be better than putting 2,100 miles on that beast...

Let me post a stupid question here, instead of the main forum, so my fellow statesmen can make fun of me instead of the world... lol... Here goes.

When you regear, do you have the retune the ecu? I didn't know if the shift points would be screwed up or anything like that. I had a buddy that regeared and he did this and it got me wondering if that was something I needed to do. He said it helped his mpg, power, etc...

Yeah dude this the stupidest question I ever heard!!!!!!!!

Haha I'm jokin. And its not the ecu, its the gauge cluster. U need a calibrater to set ur speedometer to the right mph to match ur gears and tires. Shifts points don't change, just the mph reading. And he said the calibrater helped with those things!? The gears will help with mpg in the lower mph range, if u match the right gears to the right tire size then yes u will get more power as well. Not literally gain hp but basically turn ur tires with less force then it took before therefore making it easier on ur motor and increasing "power"

 

Lol, you better be kidding, those ato mounts would have magically disappeared! Gotcha, I may have misunderstood what he said or maybe he doesn't have a clue. I got my gears in today! No arb as of yet, but I am still considering. Do you have or know of a good calibrater? Thanks for the help!

well, windows should be tinted very soon. maybe next week since it will be kinda warm. thats what my brother is getting me for Christmas. thinking 15% on the front and 50% on the back doors and rear.

 

I don't know man... The guy is saying if it ain't sold by 11/21 then he thinks he can pass SMOG and he'll keep it. I don't think there's any way to get it done before then.

I'd have to find a buyer and get the money within 6 days... I was thinking about going to Carmax, but I think they would just rail my ass. I bet I'd be lucky to get out of there with $14,000 in my pocket...
