best wax/polish?

    I have a Spruce Mica and it is a bear keeping it looking nice. I swear it scratches just looking at it! Seriously considering trading out of it for a silver just so it hides the marks and dirt. I frequently drive on dirt roads but not "off road" per se. I like my stuff to clean up well, have no problem getting it dirty. What's a good polish or wax to hide the scratches and swirls???

    Thanks for your reply! some may be from me. But I do use car washing detergent, clean sponges and microfiber towels too. I have alot of swirl type marks. it's a shame because it's a beautiful color.

    Ive heard Colinite Insulationg Wax is really good., cheap too. I use meguiers NX 2.0 and ive like it so far.

    :cool: Good stuff...I use that on my front end usually if I don't have time to break out the Zaino.

    For the OP, use the two bucket wash method, invest in some quality microfiber car towels. You can also use a leaf blower to dry your truck off pending you have a good coat of wax/sealant on it.

    If you are like me and want to keep it simple but get a great result, use Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. One step, extremely easy to apply and remove. Great shine that lasts. I use it twice a year.

    First of all just about any wax will do a great job.....what makes a it the best is how long it lasts. I wash my cars myself at the "rack" and the first wash when the dirt doesnt slide off with the sprayer, its is time to wax.

    If you search around you will find that Meguires NXT 2.0 and Zymol are consistantly top rated in every list.

    I have used both and think they are both great and long lasting. NXT seems to last a little longer, but Zymol buffs off easier.

    While the Tacoma is great truck, it comes with a terrible paint/clear coat. When mine was 1 month old, dirt was already sticking to it after washing. I have 2 coats of Zymol on it..and it is staying clean.

    Agreed. I have been using Zaino Bros products for over 10 years. They are the best hands down. And a side benefit of them is that you can wax in direct sunlight if you want/have to!! Not too many other waxes let you do that.

    When it comes to wax, Workman prefers to use Meguiars NXT 2.0. In fact, Workman just got done waxing his Tacoma with NXT 2.0 for the last time until next spring. It seems to last the longest and application is quick and easy.

    ^I agree. WilsonTheDog uses that, too.

    I use all Meguiar's stuff. Have for about 25 years. I've tried expensive stuff like Adam's with no better result.
