Still, more jobs leaving the US. More will be created maybe through the distrubition, but the factory jobs will be lost here in the US

Only thing I liked was the pies, but it seemed they got sweeter and sweeter over the years to the point where I no longer cared for them.

I used to love the chocolate pies, but I think I've only had 1 or 2 in the last 20 years. Just something I never thought to buy when I saw them (which was not that common anyways).

My fav was always cupcakes and ding dongs. Ho-hos and Zingers were next on the list.
"2" qualifies as "thread after thread" (not counting the one that got locked)?

And I do understand that every forum has a couple of threads on the topic... that's expected.

the chocolate mini donuts were good...as is Wonder bread.

however, Little Debbie mini donuts are as good or better...and Bunny bread is the bomb.

and...although it's not to be discussed on this forum, the real story is the politics behind the closing. Hershey moved much of it's production to Mexico...I suspect we will see Taco Twinkies in our future. :D

Mmmm... I forgot about the donuts.
    Never liked Entemann's(sp?).

Never was a fan of white bread. My fav has always been Orowheat Rye, or Schat's Sheepherder or Sourdough.
Which reminds me... I need to make another trip to Bishop for bread and bacon.
Not a big fan of Little Debbie.
The chocolate wafer cookies (Nutty Bars) are good, but I don't care for her cake products. Wife brought home some Little Debbie "Hoho"s and "Dingdongs" and they just weren't the same.
They just paid for a bunch of street and signal upgrades and a new facility in Redlands about 5 or 6 years ago... is that gone?

    thanks

but I see nothing in the Wiki link to support this:

"run by a hedge fund that's only concern was the money in their pockets until they could dump it"
