    Your camera is capable of shooting RAW + Jpeg. Save the RAW copies of the special ones for the future when you do have a reasonable photo editor.

    I wont agrue with you that blown out highlights are a challenge but a circular polarizer is very limited on what it is effective on. The pic of the fish underwater is about the only application where a polarizer is still the option of choice. An ND filter is much more effective in dealing with a bright sky. not a CP.

    Where this whole discussion started with was Landscappes. IMO, Adobe Elements v7 and later ($90) is avery effective tool in dealing with 95% of the photos I take. Were there some I could not fix...yes. Is the trade off of not messing with the huge hassle of dealing with filters and tripods worth it? Yes.

    All of this is MO. You all must come to your own conclusions thru your own experiences.

It seems like a more pressing issue, aside from you guys esploding and all, is the fucked up bumper. Might want to fix that, if not its no big deal, itll buff out!


    So what bumper are you replacing it with brady? Truck looks good, and I bet it performs 10x better. I bet its an unstoppable tank!

    Not trying to argue with you, just stating what works for me. and I said that most of my shots are dealing with water and snow so a polarizer is a must have IMO. what I post here isn't my main focus for getting great shots. These are all just for fun to show everyone where I've been, etc. My real photos are macros of Yellowstone and the thermal features - all shots of things living under the water. The majority of those wouldn't be worth a crap if they had glare. And I can't always get the perfect angle to combat it without a filter so I do what I have to to get the shot I need.

    I have over 470 GBs of pictures right now....65 GB of which are of my truck :eek:

    Well for now, nothing. Ben said he may be able to just come up with a simple tube bumper to get me by until I can afford a real plate bumper, but if not it will just stay.

    when I switched over to RAW+JPEG I went from <30GB per year to >150GB per year. A RAW file from my camera averages 28MB

    im rebuilding my relay box with more relays so when im brights are on it automaticaly turns on my lights that i don't even have yet but i don't want a bunch of switchs on my truck i have 2 and there will be 4 total later and thats more than enough.
