My employer and I are happy, healthy, and not deterred by any representation needed several decades ago. Really, it’s only a matter of time before unions are dead.
Local, State, and Federal Government have implemented laws to preventany real issues of unfair labor practices of the 1930's. Take a hard look at the federal Income Tax filings of your local unions, you'll quickly see where your hard earned money is going. It's big Business, and not in your best interest.

So the one guy said he can show up drunk and the union will protect his job....Even though he risked his life getting to work, others getting to work, and depending on the job other employees, and cost the company money? Interesting, sounds like jail time to me.

I've learned over the years that MOST people will work just hard enought to not get fired.

In my statement I said hungover with little alcohol. Drunk is different if you are able to drive your car to work legally then you may not even know alcohol is in your system. Say you were on call and this happened, you get a call head in feel fine so how would you even know. Typically if this happens they have to send you to get help then if it keeps happening you can get fired.

If this is directed at me this is what I said:

No where does it say drunk or driving over the legal limit.

What? Do you think every drunk driver swerves all over the road? Alcoholics can be twice the legal limit and seem fine just because of the years of abuse

I should of picked a different topic, my point was the union is there to help you if anything happened at the workplace. I understand your point drinking at work is bad and you shouldn't put yourself in that position, I was looking at it as the incident is happening.

Making my bosses rich? That is where we differ, they are the ones who took all of the risk to started the business out of a garage and have turned it into a $700M company. They deserve to be wealthy because of the risks they have taken and the company they built. They provide a ton of jobs that people are thankful for. I am grateful for a job where. I provide value to my organization and the pay me for what I am worth.

Most of America has working conditions that are just fine and they aren't in unions. It is truly and uneducated statement to say its only because of the unions.

I am not blaming the economy or downfall of the world on unions but what I am saying is they are out of control and they do in fact cripple business' all the time. Do your research.

Start here....and tell me if you agree with this union.
