before i started the other side, i figure i cut the 2nd yota spring i took out and put it back in, the end results are as pictured. As it sit, the ride is a little rough, so ill be taking out the 2nd yota spring and see how it rides, As pictured, leaf is 2 main yota, 3 chevy n overload paired with a shackle flip kit. there is a rack on it, so by removing the 2nd yota leaf, im hoping to level it out,

 

Hi Gary, ok if i understand you right , as pictured you are running 3 Chevy springs under the Toyota main & secondary spring (one with bushing wrap) for a total of 5 springs, is this correct ??



Looks like some decent driveway flex ya got going on.....

 

You have also lifted it a little over 3" (with overload)






BTW what kind of rims are those ? look like my Ivan Stewarts...

 

Right here circled in red, anyone reading this right now needs to take note of the shackle position, just about as perfect as it gets..any 2nd gen owner should really consider this even if they don't lift their truck ... Who makes/sells this flip kit Gary ??

 

2nd gen. 5 leaf semi progressive

(I say "semi" because theres 1 linear spring in the pack)...

 

& this is how I deal with the bushing wrapped end (front hanger end)...

 

So I installed that 5th leaf and my shackle flip. Holy hell! I had to have someone jump on the hitch to bolt up shock. Needless to say, I took the 5th leaf out and have ext travel 5100s on order.

 

told ya it was a lift spring........

you probably shot up to 4"

 

that right, i cut off the wrap part too, so which leaf should i remove to get a better ride?.

as for the rims there driv

 

shackle flips are made by freelancefabrication.com the got for $204 shipped. super beefy and make out of 1/4"

 

you wish you could say that ol' man...

 

Or more! It was fun driving home that night with 0 down travel. I was in the air most the drive.

I also make shackle flips. Freelance are definately some beefy brackets. Mine are also 1/4" .

 

how much are ur kits going for?

 

Drop 1 Chevy spring,& that should put you right about where ya want to be
