No real updates on deh truck. Going to try and get some gears in the ole girl soon. 4.88's probably go with Motive's and spool the rear.

I didn't know that. I thought they had different splines. I'll give him a call

Just to be clear, I am referring to pre-95 diffs, before the Taco and T-100. Taco and T-100 housings will not bolt right in, so be sure to confirm that they are from a pre-95 pickup or 4runner.

The difference between the 4 cyl. and V6 diffs is mainly the casting and bearings. They are the same spline count and gear size, but the V6 is stronger. The HP diffs are identical to the V6 diffs.

Just the norm skids, sliders, & 35's
If you plan to run 35's prob be better just to get 5.29s instead of 4.88. And I'd def recommend a spartan over a spool. If it's a toy though just weld it and put the money elsewhere.

No, I'm planning to go as far as I can with 33's. Anyone can just bounce over rocks with 35's. I'll enjoy to see how far I can make them go. Ive looked at a spartan, not gonna weld it because I drive it back and forth to the trails, spools are more reliable and only $150.

I agree with sticking with 33's. that's what I'm doing. Although on my latest trip. 35's would have been nice, maybe I wouldn't have crushed my gas tank skid

Yes they would be nice but they can go a long way with the right parts. I plan to add a marlin 4.7 case this winter.
