I have a 2007 2.7L manual transmission tacoma that I just put bigger wheels and tires on (Mazda Rx8 wheels 18x8 and 225/60r18) and I was wondering if these are heavy enough to do damage to my tranny or engine?

Should be fine, but... Those are car wheels, will they be up to the stresses of a truck, towing, hauling, 4 wheeling?

This is a 2.7 liter 4 cylinder. Not too much towing hauling or four wheeling going on lol and I don't do any towing or four wheeling anyway. Sometimes I help people move and that's about it. It's a manual transmission too so my clutch will probably wear faster

What does it being a 4 cyl have to do with not towing much and not off roading much!? Many people with 4 bangers haul stuff and as far as off roading goes, I don't know many people who DON'T use their trucks for some form of offroading!

To answer ur question, yes u will put more stress on the drive train, motor, and braking system but I wouldn't be too worried about it. As for the clutch, u have a very good chance that the clutch is already bad so yes it will probably go out way before anything else
