    Convenience I guess.

All it is is sugar, water, cranberry. You can mix it up and add apples or orange zest and spices. You're right, pretty easy. As easy as boiling water.

Of course, it's the ultimate fresh survival food! Cuz it stays fresh forever! :D

but srsly, dooooood... i lurrrrrrrv big macs, filet o fishes. it's all i eat (and the fries).

You know the trick for getting hot and fresh fries? Ask for no salt, when they give you the bag full of those golden spears of ahhh maayyy zingg, ask for salt and look at their reaction.

I would have opted for that, but I got hungry at 3. In n Out closes by 1.

The only other choice I had was to cook up an instant mee goreng or one of my frozen ramens

    Yum, whiskey! lol

Re: cranberry sauce-- it's super easy to make the regular kind. One pot, a measuring cup, and a spoon to clean.

I'm making some weird paleo sugar-free cranberry sauce this year. Free range berries and humanely picked oranges, the whole deal. I feel badly subjecting anyone else to it though, so I'll make some regular too.

Basically I'm in this cult called Crossfit, and they are big on eating only meat, veggies, some fruits, nuts, and seeds. I'm not super strict about it (shocking, I know) but I actually do feel better & more even-keeled. Or maybe I've just been docile and sleepy the whole time, since I stopped drinking 5 Hour Energy and Diet Coke? lol

Ah yes. I've heard about the cult and a lot about the diet part. I was more wondering if you were doing that.

I think about it once and a while. Sunday's are free-maybe I should go?

I don't have allergies so a beer and an annual slice of pumpkin pie isn't going to make me die, I felt kinda off afterwards but it was so worth it. I love pumpkin pie. I also love beer, but not as much as I like rye whiskey.

There are a ton of places around to do Crossfit for a monthly fee, or you can do the workouts at home (there's a Workout of the Day aka WOD posted daily online and on FB). Some require you first take a few classes in a group, other boxes have you take private sessions first. I did private sessions for two reasons-- first, I am a klutz with a wonky work schedule and second, I had ZERO lifting experience beyond machines at the gym. Just like anything, some groups/trainers are a good fit and others aren't.

I started doing mobility WODs because I noticed after rough days at work that I felt way too creaky. The site is great, IMO: mobilitywod.com

I heard that was you that brought the whiskey. If I didn't have such a long drive home, I might have partaken ;)

I have some friends who gravitate more toward the China Study diet. It's been interesting to see the transformation many have made. It's amazing.

I'm not sure I have the patience for that kind of a diet tho.
