    Yeah, this is almost as funny as when whip got it. At least whip hasn't been deleted though.

    They really need to go through and clean up old members... just put the site down for a day and do some cleaning.

    not gonna name names, but when Joe got banned (for shitting in a thread minutes after being told that it would result in a one week ban) there was a whole lot of butthurt over that too... and it was reduced to a day or two.

    don't get me wrong, Ray deserved the ban. just pointing out how your perception of "butthurt over a ban" is different when it's one of your buddies.

    Joe could have and should have stayed banned and someone else could have taken over the Christmas thread as far as I'm concerned.
    But I guess as I see it you have a member who contributes to something positive to the community here and had a misstep during a stressful time in their life and you have another member who contributes to the UG and everyone goes nuts when they opt to leave permanently over a temporary ban which was caused by him offending several members and him showing no remorse for his actions.

    for the most part I thought Ray was funny. the comments in the xmas exchange thread were very inappropriate and he deserved to be banned for it. I'm not going to lose any sleep over Ray being gone, but he actually helped a lot of people with truck related stuff (the alleged purpose of this site) and is very active in his local wheeling community. to say he did nothing but post pics downstairs is inaccurate.

    edit: Ray lost his job a few weeks ago, so I imagine he's a little stressed out too.
