    Hi everyone,
I recently converted from jeeps which I have owned all my life to a 2012 regular cab 4x4. I am looking to put the biggest tires without a lift. I am tied up in a lease for the next three years until my buyout. I am thinking of putting 265 75 16 duratracs on with black steel wheels. In the past I have used black rock wheels and loved them. They make a 16 x 10 with 6x5.5 bolt and 4.5 back space. Will this work?

    Welcome to TW.

16x10's are much, much too wide for a 265.

Blackrocks won't clear the calipers of 2nd gen Tacomas, in fact, the only steel wheels that do are Wheelers Offroad steelies.

For 265/75/16s, look for a 16x8, with between 4.5 and 5.5" of backspacing.

Thanks for the advice. Do you recommend the type a or type b backspacing with 265 75 16?

The type a is better choice.

I have the same tire and size mounted on SCS F5 wheels (16x8 with 4.5 backspacing)

Tiny bit of rub on the inside of the front mudflaps at full lock (including the baby front/front flap) so I removed them.

Crappy cellphone pic of my front driver side before I took off the mudflaps (TRD Sport 4x4 stock suspension on a inclined driveway)

Have no issues with daily driving and rubbing with the front mudflaps removed)

IS this recommended for 33" tires as well?
