This is how you do it....

I didn't shoot it but I towed this baby back to camp and helped butcher this 42 foot bow head whale in the arctic ocean, east of Barrow about 150 miles...

This Saturday I went out with the wife sat in a ground blind and shot my first deer. She field dressed at 97 pounds. deer_06d9c6c8562dc339fe5b14822cb19c5522a0292d.jpg

I have been hunting several years but had a few bad shots so this is my first kill. I had a bad shot on a big buck the Monday before. I was pretty happy with this doe.

I posted these pics in the deer hunting bs thread, but I'm so pumped about getting him I'm gonna make a pic whore out of him. Biggest buck I've taken so far. Field dressed at 155lbs and should score right at 130inches. Please excuse my ugly mug and crazy eyes.lol

My first wall hanger. These fronts are more drop tine than crab claws IMO, but I'm calling it a drop tine buck. I shot this back home in WV on opening day. I'm definitely going to have them "fix" the broken point on the one side. The G2's were right around 6"'s and the drop tines were around 2.5" or so. Haven't put the tape measure to them yet.

Really proportional rack, not as much mass at the base as I'd like to see for a buck to mount, but that's pretty typical for back home due to the food sources available. And you rarely see anything different than a typical rack, which makes this a great buck!
