Went in to the dealership I bought the truck from (Ernie Palmer, Jax, Fl) prepared for being turned down. I had the TSB printed up and in the truck ready to go. I told the service manager I tow my motorcycle and drag crap around in the bed and noticed it sat low and made for a "harsh" ride. There was still dirt in the bed from the last run to the dump (made sure he had a visual). He said if the computer verified it qualified, he would do it, they needed the work. When they brought the truck out after the service, he told me the parts were on order and to bring it in tomorrow. I'll drop it off Wed night so they will have it for the day Thursday... Will let you know if they do it right the first time....

When you or people say "hopefully they do it right the first time" in relation to the TSB suspension, what do you mean by that. What kind of mistakes are they doing? What are things do watch out for?
My parts should be here any day now, Toyota of Carlsbad (San Diego California) is doing the install. I had zero hassle with them.

I read the TSB. It does involve checking alignment specs and correcting them if needed. That can be the difference between right and wrong. Many Stealers, excuse me, I mean "Dealers" do not even have alignment facilities.

I was reading the post: Dealerships who do the suspension TSB, and a few mentioned they didn't get it right the first time. Not sure what the problem except for the alignment.
I called today, the parts came in but couldn't get the ride back and forth and getting to work nailed. So I'll drop it off tomorrow night and have it for the weekend.

I just got mine back 45 minutes ago. So far the truck rides better, it is nice to feel the road again. I had no problems with the dealer. They gave me a 2010 camary for a loaner, total pos not impressed.

I got mine ('08 PreRunner SR5 V6) back yesterday and it is much improved.

The back is one inch higher and the front is a half inch higher. Since they only changed the shocks in the front, does anyone know how/why it is raised?

    :)

The TSB calls for replacing all FOUR shocks, front and rear. If your rears aren't new, take it back and get the rest of the work done.

Well things worked out that the wife came home and I got to drop the truck off. I'll pick it back up after work. I wasn't offered a loaner though  Oh well, I work on a Navy base and it would have been a hassle to get a pass. A Buddy will pick me up in the AM and get me to work.
I didn't get a chance to measure or take pictures it happened so fast...
    I'll keep you posted.

Thanks. They did change the shocks in the back along with the leaf springs. What I meant, was that in the front, only the shocks were changed and yet, the truck came back raised a half inch in the front. I would like to know how that happened. Anyone know Enter text here.if there is something else that is done when they replace the front shocks that could cause this?

    :)

Got mine done about a week ago but they did not replace my shocks. I like how it rides but now think I should go back and get my new shocks.

Right, shocks are not replaced on TRD. They are already upgraded compared to SR5.

Got it back today. It sits up high!! I never measured it or took "before" pictures. Oh well. Looks great though. Rides great too. I asked for the results from the alignment. Not sure if it is right on. They had measurements for the front alignment also on the sheet. Some of the numbers are out a little. I'm going to call them tomorrow.
