Much more but i will keep it simple.
No prob. Glad im on....This place moves fast!!!!
Try the south FoCo Discount tire. Got a quote for like $300 each when i was being a sneaky guy. The longmont store thought it would be cool to stop working onmy truck after buying 5 wheel and 5 new kevlars, Certs and all from them. It was a mess...Then the first guy put a ding in almost all of the wheels in the center and i told my brother who was an assistant manager and i got blown off. Now im looking in to have them chromed cause i cant have a polished or bare finish and they keep blowing me off. now they work on the truck but i am more anal then ever.

Here is the kicker...They are real beadlocks and discount wont mount them. you have to Tq em and bolt em together. I did one and then i did the 4 and the day i did the 4 i was there for 3hours. putting them together.

I will take a look. My buddys keep buggin me to go. I may this year but i had planned on hitting the hammers this year and AZ rocks. I just dont get as wet over Moab as most. I'm going to check out some Cali wheeling after the first of the year cause my girls running in a race out there. If my work load isnt too bad and i can have my new tow rig byt the moab thing we will join.

The only solution that I see is drilling it out and retapping it. Why the hell would somebody weld that set screw to begin with? Worried about it coming loose and having to re-adjust the coil-over??? I'm sure you can fix it though!

Decent deal. Make sure it works. Sounds like it sat for a long time with no use.
That will buff out. You need one of those drill out bits that come in a Threading kit. I don't remember what they are called but they are conical and brass colored.

I think this is your only way also. Since it's welded I bet easy outs won't work, best bet is to get a good carbide tipped reverse fluted bit and be careful. Hard to tell from pictures, but you might ne able to drill down far enough and penetrate through the weld before you reach the threaded body on the shock. Use a reverse fluted bit so that if it does break loose it will be unscrewing rather than driving the set screw deeper. Carbide helps with the hardened steel that (I hope) the set screw is made of. Or, take it to a machine shop if you are worried about something going bad. Plus, looks like you'll have to remove the
collar anyways to re-thread it so it might be in your best interest to remove the collar and bring it in. Pain in the ass, but beats accidentally drilling through your shock body!

We also sit about 12' From a 100" screen so I'm sure they'd also think that was too big. Doesn't bother me or anyone else. I don't particularly subscribe to the so many inches for so many feet viewing distance rules you read about. It's just that our eyes are used to 51" after 8yrs so it's going to be an adjustment.

I am happy with our 24" 720p flat screen in the bedroom. We just use it to go to sleep to anyways. That much light output from anything bigger would keep me awake all night. But hey if you have the room to do it then more power to you. :)

I think you guys are all missing what is in the picture (except maybe Matt blacktacoma23). I used a reverse thread drill bit and made a nice hole in the weld. Then i used the other end of bit that has the screw extractor. Well what is supposed to be seen in the pic is that a piece of this is...well stuck in the hole. Yea the bit broke on me. I was being so careful and slow but didn't matter. The torque broke the bit without even moving the bolt. I think some of the weld moved to the collar. Oh well.

Shitty. I just sent you a PM, going the drill out/mill out route will still work, but now there's a broken hardened steel bit in there too so that will really do a number on what bit/end mill you are going to use. Getting it out without mucking up the threads on the shock body are going to be a PITA though.

I am going to try to use pliers to thread it back out if i can grab it at all. If not I might just leave it. I was just hoping to lower the front to match the rear since I didn't snag up a pair of shackle flips in time.
