My son is in Cub Scouts. They're still selling tickets to the Red Wings Cub Scout Hockey Night for December and January. The flyer says no refunds. LOL

it seems so. I was feeling optimistic a couple of weeks ago, but this has become a stalemate. Both sides really are dug in.

I think Bettman's recommendation of a 2 week break is a sign that the owners haven't planned to give any more. The owners have pulled on Bettman's reigns.

The players still feels entitled to the money coming from the contracts signed under the old CBA. Clearly the owners never planned to pay contracts according to that. What surprises me is that the players expect that they will....

 

The Council is selling the tickets and putting together the event with the Red Wings. I've told Council numerous times that it likely won't happen but they keep plugging the game/event in newsletters/emails. Needless to say I'm not buying a ticket. ECHL is getting all my hockey money this year.

 

The NHL and NHLPA resume talks today in NY

 

It'll be a ten minute exchange of "Fuck You" s followed by door slams and a 2 week break.

The 2 week break was supposed to be for the PA only but it leaked out to the media. I guess it was another tactic that turned out to backfire. Meeting again tomorrow
