First time ever driving a hand clutch I put one of those in a pond revved out. I heard the pop, from the rods, the bearing, rings, and basically the jug saying fuck it I'm out of here. The piston was wedged in the side of the jug and did not budge

I've enjoyed following your posts on the TRat forum...I've been thinking about "borrowing" your sprocket cover design ;)

BTW, Caspian Blue Thruxtons are the fastest, in my opinion! heh

She's a good 10-footer. My goal is to make the up-close look even better.

But first, this weekend I'm doing a few needed things to her. Installing a better alternator (so I don't have to carry spare batteries:laugh:), replacing the seals on the left side (since at least one is leaking a bit and I'll be in there anyway), replacing the fork seals (minor seeping), cleaning and lubing the chain & sprockets, and an oil & filter change.

I've got new handlebar switches and a new seat as well, but I may hold off a bit on installing those. The seat is in good condition, but the pan has a little surface rust, with one spot that has rusted through the metal on the seat pan, so I need to replace that. The handlebar switches work fine, but they're a little faded. I think when I pull the tank, fenders, and side panels to have them repainted (a few paint chips on those), I'll put the new seat and switches on, and probably pull a few other things off to re-paint as well.

How are you liking that thing now? Did you run across my buddies at Galveston- one with the XC in white (I showed you the pic of his lowers), and the other on a new Ness Vision...?

I'm still loving every minute of it man! Still need to put the wings on the forks but the windshield helped a lot. I seen a lot more Vic's than expected so I have no idea I've I'd seen them or not. I will be going back next year though.

I know she's so sweet. I've had a few people stop me and ask about it when walking to or from a store. Just got a job so I can finish paying if off and bring her home.
