Perhaps a cattle bar from a train. Maybe. What did you end up going with on the replacement?

it all depends on the geometry of the trailing arms and links, you want the imaginary line of the trailing arms and links to meet up somewhere near the crank shaft at the transmission i believe some fabricator told me, and depending on how you set up the upper link mounts and trailing arm mounts, you may need to cut into the cab. This is to obtain optimal (or no) driveshaft plunge and camber curve.
I'd like to see how they maintained proper geometry with that.
    nope

Most like inverted to keep the ride height of +4" if I understand what I have read correctly.

I have ran Deaver, Giant 64, and the 50T packs over the last 13 years.
Depending how you want to run your shackles, I would go with the 50T pack. Thats what me and a couple friends run now and they have worked great so far.
But the 50T pack is set up for a race truck that is supposed to have weight in the back ( spare tires, tools, parts etc..) So you might sit stink bug with no weight in the back possibly depending on your set up

Amber is going to be better in all adverse conditions be it rain, sleet, snow, fog, smoke, dust etc etc. The Color of the light penetrates whatever is in the air better with less reflection.

They blew 2 rear ends in a matter of a few miles and packed it up, something about an incorrect pinion angle I believe.

the orange truck is Alpa Racing. more photos on their website: racing905.com

Had an interesting wheeling trip in a Raptor this weekend. Still a huge fan of them for an off the lot off and very capable off road vehicle but they are far from bullet proof. I can't say that a Tacoma (even built) would have fared any better, in fact I was extremely impressed with how the truck held up all things considered but we certainly exposed another weak point on them.
