San Diego BS Thread.

OK so I have put over 23 hours of work in the last 2 day getting my stuff (mostly) ready for my trip this week.

I reassembled my motorcycle engine (from about 200 parts) in about 2.5 hours from a bag of bolts to running. Replaced all 3 shift forks in the transmission and replaced the clutch disks. Hopefully it will stand up to the abuse for 4 days of ME riding it. I almost expect something o fail. And FYI when I go to the Desert I usually put 4-6 hours of riding on my bike (actually measured by the hour meter) per day so I wear shit out in a hurry. And if you have ever seen me ride, 4 hours is like a month of riding from a "regular" person... hence the reason I broke both bikes in 2 weekends of riding.

The Jeep is sort of half-assed done, no wheelwells so I have to make some out of cardboard and tape for now. But it should be fine for the week.

And I still need to go get that damn jack! Gawd I am lagging.

Anyway if anybody is going to Ocotillo tonight thru Thursday, PM me today and I will give you my number and we can meet up!

 

Jason, make the cardboard wheel wells just right and keep them. Bring them by the shop and we'll use em for templates and waterjet you some permanent ones

i checkd my shocks and they aint busted, i bounced the truck up and down and almost completely silent.

 

Do you have a carrier bearing? I thought my 99 did.

I've had those make a pretty good clunk on accel or deccel. Sounds like someone throws a baseball in your bed. My check it.
