I can't seem to break 17, now that I've stopped babying the throttle and really letting this four-o breathe lately. Its much more fun driving without worrying about getting the most efficient tank ;-)

I have the same tires and I consistently get between 18-20 mpg. When I put these tires on I saw no change in my mpg. If you want good/decent mileage keep you Rpm's low and speed around 65 mph.

Also, automatic tacomas will get worse gas mileage then their manual counterparts.

Since I bought the truck in August I haven't got below 20 mpg. 22 was the best . 2012 dcsb prerunner.

Just purchased a new 2013 Prerunner v6 auto 4x2 and got 21.1 MPG on the first tank. Stock Dunlop's at 45 psi, driving it like a Prius. :)

    70%/30% highway/city driving.

Am curious to see how it continues to do.

I've been averaging 17-19 all summer long with a combination of hwy/city. My last 500+ mile trip all hwy with 91 octane (no meth when available), tonneau cover, average speed 70-75, I saw 21 mpg. Towing a 3200lb trailer over 500 miles, I got it as low as 12 mpg. I am about to make another 1000+ mile trip over Thanksgiving and will see what I can yield with no load. But I think under normal driving condition, the Tacoma gets 17-19. FYI - I have a DCLB V6 4x4

    Factory recommends 29. I run 32. I thought 35 PSI was uncomfortable but 45?

The manual says 30 for the P245/75R16. Off the dealer lot, the tires had 32 in them.

I thought I'd try an experiment to see what the MPG was with the tires high at 45 psi for a few tanks, and then try them at a lower psi for a few to see if there is any change in the MPG.

Max psi on the Dunlop's is 51.

And yes, it is a stiff ride at 45 psi. :)

I run 40 psi in my tires.. I have been told the more aired up your tires the better gas mileage would be vs aired down all b/c of traction...and I consistently see 20.9-23 mpg

I have a 2012 4.0 access cab,, auto trans, and routinely get 22 mpg. Most of my driving is 2 lane highway, 45-55 miles per hour. On interstates mileage does not seem to drop. In 4 wheel drive there is a definite drop in mpg.
