On the note of bumpers, Brandon said he'd have mine done this week! They havent built a bumper like this yet so I am excited.

 

Tried having Brandon build me one but couldn't ever get in contact with him

 

wtf, I forgot what my old account on Dr was and so about a week ago I made a new account, and I didn't get the registration email until today!

 

WE emailed back and forth for months to get it right, but he always manages to contact me. They have been short handed so I know its hard for him to get back riht away but for the price and the fact it looks almost identical to the BF hybrid with some of my own modifications and is only 600$ there was no way I was going anywhere else. Plus I have his sliders and they definitely hold up to the test so I know the bumper will. Love the BF Hybrid though. Helped Stefen (T4COCH4OS) install his.

 

Yeah I would've rather gone through Brandon but Billy kept in contact and changed it how I wanted it. I'll be going through Avid for sliders and a bed rack if I don't get a softopper

 

If you flex at all on one side its going to bend that spring and shoot it out like a rocket

Yeah No tube Bender and a shitty welder unfortunately. just need something simple like all pros rack but slightly taller than the cab since I plan on getting kayaks

 

Gotcha. I like my low design. Will have a RTT up there after Xmas. You can get a shorter one and buy extensions for the Kayaks. We origionally built mine as a Roof Rack for a 93 YJ but I ended up modifying it to be a bed rack for myself. I am sure Avid will beat the All Pro price anyday.

What did he quote you at If I may ask. Just wondering how much I saved building mine. I was curious when I started it.

Thats a damn good price man. And if you buy a nice Canvas Tarp like the one I have the rack also make a great soft topper. Sounds like your truck is gonna be pretty awesome man.

 

Hoping it will, probably going with avid for a rear bumper I want something similar to domellos hybrid rear. Have 884's and ironman 4x4 leaf springs but still need to get shocks ordered.

 

Yeah I pieced my lift together over a couple months always waiting for sales. But now I am redoing everything again. It sees too much offroad to keep my current setup plus I need new leafs with all the extra weight in the rear. I am going Avid with a custom rear Hybrid HC bumper after I get the front one.

There is a reason those springs sit in cups that are holding them in place.

It's your truck man.. All I'm saying is I wouldn't run a spring like that unless I had a way to mount it correctly. But if it does fly out like a rocket, take lots of pic's!

 

Mine will be ready about a week after yours! I'm excited for you too
