Chaos, I bought the Fat Bob's kit back in Jan. and I'm just now about to start the install. Thanks for the great build pics and info! It's a big help. I was looking at the shock comparison pic and it looks like the original lower bushing and bolt are smaller than on the new one. Also, does it have a metal sleeve inside the bushing? because the shocks in my kit just have the rubber bushings. I know you said you had to trim some width off of the rubber, but did you have any issues with the different hole diameters?

Nice looking truck! TacoMeat my shocks were missing the metal sleeves as well but if you call up fat bobs and let them know then they will send you out new bushings with sleeves built in.

    Glad I could help!

Regarding the bushing size. I honestly can't remember if their was a big difference. You're right though, from that picture it looks like the new shock bushing has a slightly wider opening than the original. I'm pretty sure by the time I got it squished into the mount, that the diameter of the opening shrank some. I did not receive any metal sleeves for the bushings and I haven't had any problems since install.

Looks good, can't say that I am very impressed with fat bobs kit, also you used the wheel spacers on front wheels only? If so the wheels in front are wider making that alignment alittle strange I would guess.
