What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Nice, and I don't know about you, but I had a hell of a time fitting my hands there to change my bulbs. Just did mine first time yesterday.

 

Does anyone know what parts theses are. Somehow they installed my lift without either of these parts and I need them. One is a washer, the other is the rubber busing underneath, and then some sort of plastic thing. Your help is greatly appreciated.

 

Ebay $19 for a 15' roll and they have adhesive backing. Installation was a snap, you just need to know how to solder. The lights are cut able in sections of (3) or more, I cut (3) 3' strips of lights , soldered a pair of 26" (22 gauge) wire to each one. Used epoxy to protect (waterproof) the soldered wires and added shrink tubing over the ends.

Call up Wheeler's Offroad. They sell these parts as a kit ($20 or so).

 

The HID install how-to says to remove the battery and unbolt the washer fluid tank. Thankfully the bulbs don't need to be replaced often.

Thanks, I still have regular bulbs, no hid. Kinda crazy to have to do that just to change a headlight bulb. Oh well.

 

Thanks. Is there a reason why my Truck didnt come with this piece? Or maybe the guy installing it lost it. Does anyone know the specific name for the part?

 

Installed heated seats in the front and rear. Added sound deadner behind the storage areas and under the rear seats.

 

The installer is supposed to re-use the existing stock parts if they are still in good condition, else order new ones. Wheeler's calls it a "Strut Stem Cushion and Washer Kit". Go and verify if the parts pictured in this page are the ones you are talking about, to avoid mistakes:

 

Put some trim on my flares

 

Shut my garage door on my tailgate while it was down. No damage.

 

Wired up some LEDs to light up the grill at night.

 

Added side steps to the truck and blacked out the chrome letters on both sides as well as the tail-gate.

So I did the Fog lights all the time mod using an extra wire (jumper) and works great! The next thing I did was paint the engine cover with a metallic blue to try to stick to the theme of blue.

 

I'm surprised nobody has put LED lights in the engine cover yet.
