Thank you but I think it will be fine for now, Im going to do some warming with my torch and some light hammering to get it kind of back then Ill put it back on. No big deal.

 

I'm to lazy to un spool it. But yes the safety clasp then like the first 6 inches is bent a little. Not bad but it's not perfect any more. Just don't want to chance it with an insurance claim on my buddies work. If I was just using it to wheel I would not be replacing it.

Lmao! Hope so as well! Yeah like I said its not bad. I would wheel on it all day. But knowing my like something would happen and put a log down on someone's house haha.

 

That's nothing. You could just get a new hook for that. The bend or kink in the line will not affect off road use. But it might be an issue for business like you said.

Also just an opinion but I would never get a syn line for business use like you are doing. I would always run steel for that. You would tear up the strongest syn line in a heart beat on tree removal.

 

Good advice. Yeah I'm trying to get him to put a winch on his f350. Much heavier of a truck to winch with.

Eric and I worked out a deal if you don't need his steel line. So if you get the winch and the cable is good.

 

Or if you decide to get a syn line.

 

Eric how were those pancakes?

 

Have him go to Harbour Freight and get a 12,500lb. Badlands winch. On the last Bill Moore run we watched an Off Road recovery truck pull a truck out with it. The guy has been doing recovery for 25 years and this was his favorite winch. They are cheap too.

 

Maybe ill donut for Xmas for him.
