    Hi all. New member here.

So today I had my front rotors replaced. Very frustrated though, I have 44k KM
( 27000 miles). Never hauled anything, never driven hills and I do not " ride" my brakes.
Does this seem realistic? To have Toyota parts wear this fast on a 2011??
    Anyone else have any issues??

Do you off-road or do a lot of city driving? Do you downshift when coming to a stop?

First question, WHY did you get the rotors replaced???

I ask cause pads should last 40,000 to 50,000 mi

I've got over 100,00 mi on my 06 and still running orginal rotors

That's kind of what I was thinking. Either them or Brake Max. They get paid to upsell rotors & "caliper rebuilds". Really?, caliper rebuild?

You should have had them show you the thickness measurements on the rotors before getting them replaced.

Brake wear is VERY dependent on driving environment (more so than simply driver technique).

Only way to know if the shop is being honest is to measure the remaining rotor thickness yourself. Per service manual, minimum thickness is 23.0 mm for 5-lug trucks and 26.0 mm for 6-lug. If the rotor is still thick enough but surface is rough, the shop can machine it flat.
